Who is Nurmay Christian Academy?

Nurmay Christian Academy (NCA) is the first and only Christian preschool in a remote Kenyan village.  NCA is a ministry of Nurmay Missions, a small, grass roots, mission organization founded by missionaries Abel and Christa Muanica in 2009. As a non-profit organization NCA exists solely to be a blessing to the children and families of this seemingly forgotten rural village.

NCA opened its doors on January 11, 2016 with a single classroom, a staff of two teachers, and an enrollment of 21 students. By the end of the first year of operation the enrollment reached full capacity (40 students).  The children flourished academically, physically, and spiritually.  NCA became well known and respected in the community and the enrollment continued to grow.  In January 2017

a second class was added.

A new classroom building was

completed in January 2018 and

2 additional classes were added.

Total enrollment is approaching

150 students.

How is NCA funded?

Our Mission:

We serve the educational, spiritual and social needs of underprivileged children by providing excellent instruction, fostering creativity, and developing Godly character through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ

NCA exists to provide education to children that otherwise may not have access to quality education. Realizing the importance of parental involvement and responsibility, the parents of our students pay the equilvalent of $10/month for school fees. The budget is supplemented by outside donations.  If you would like to be a part of making a difference in the lives of these children please follow the link below for more information.
